Our Safety Harness Use & Inspection course provides delegates with a clear understanding of how to check, use, maintain and store harnesses and lanyards. This course is ideal for individuals who use, manage, or supervise the use of MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) ad are required to select, inspect, and use suitable safety harnesses and lanyards.
What to expect on the course:
An introduction to health & safety at work legislation and regulations
An overview of the different types of harnesses, lanyards, fittings, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Pre-Use checks and how to inspect your harness (CE markings)
How to store, care, and maintain equipment
Correct fittings and adjustments
How to safely use harnesses including appropriate anchor points
Fall-prevention measures and how to complete relevant risk assessments
Emergency rescue provision
Complete a short theory & practical assessment.
Have fun! Our instructors are knowledgeable and engaging – we encourage our delegates to ask as many questions as possible.
After successful completion of the course candidates will receive a PAL card with certification
Delegate requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be medically fit to safely operate equipment.
