This course focuses on the safe loading and unloading of MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) on a beaver tail and slide bed transport vehicles. This course ensures all delegates are made aware of the risks involved when loading, securing, and transporting MEWPs onto sites. Drivers must consider distribution and as well as potential movement whilst the vehicle is being driven.

An overview of vehicle types and loads
How to safely load, secure, unload, and park a MEWP.
How to identify control elements, safety devices and warnings.

After successful completion of the course candidates will receive official certification from IPAF and will have ‘LOAD’ added to their PAL Card.
Delegate requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must hold valid PAL Card for category of machines being loaded/unloaded
Must hold a DVLA C or C1 license
Must be medically fit to safely operate equipment.
