Job Overview:

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process to ensure that Quick Reach continues to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively. You will be tasked with optimising the supply chain operations, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless operations. Your role will be crucial in maintaining our commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies that align with Quick Reach’s business objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that all suppliers meet Quick Reach’s quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee utilisation levels to ensure that the fleet is being utilised effectively across our depots.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage the logistics of equipment delivery, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods to our depots across the UK.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously analyse and improve supply chain processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them, ensuring the continuity of supply.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as operations, and sales to ensure alignment and support overall business goals.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the construction, maintenance, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
