Role & Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage transportation operations across our network of drivers.
- Oversee the inspections, repairs, and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles.
- Monitor driver qualifications and training to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage transport costs by creating cost-effective routes to minimise the need for external haulage companies.
- Lead our team of drivers; providing guidance support and performance management.
- Collaborate with our Operations Director to develop strategies and initiatives to improve transport efficiency.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a valid Manager’s Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Have previous experience in logistics management and the powered access industry.
- Strong organisation and decision-making skills
- Excellent knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with BigChange software is an advantage; however, training will be provided if necessary.
Location & Travel Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be able to work from any of our depots across the UK; Wishaw, Middlesbrough, Doncaster, Halifax, Manchester, West Bromwich, Witham or Bristol
- You will be required to visit various depots and teams across the country (approx. 2-3 times each month)
