As a Service manager you will oversee all workshop activities, manage other engineers and be 

responsible for maintaining all housekeeping and Health & Safety responsibilities. Responsibilities 

include adherence to all internal Quality Management Systems.

 

 Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Maintain a safe place of work.
  • Responsible for the fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of a range of powered access and material handling equipment within the depot. 
  • You will possess excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills and the ability to communicate to other members of the engineering team. 
  • Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
  • You will be required to complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures. 
  • Promote teamwork between colleagues across all depots, to ensure delivery of an effective workshop performance. 
  • Liaise with the Depot and Engineering Management when spare parts are required to ensure cost effective repairs. 
  • Handle breakdown calls and assign mobile engineers to attend sites.
  • Ensure service records are maintained and updated in line with Company procedures.
  • Ensure that the machines are kept in a serviceable and presentable condition.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines relating to Health & Safety at Work.
  • Adhere to damage recharge process, ensuring that all damage is highlighted and recharged.
  • Maintain and ensure maximum productivity in line with company targets.
  • Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business-like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work. 
  • Attend customer sites to conduct breakdowns when required.
  • Provide the Engineering manager with KPI statistics when required.

 

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have relevant qualifications and proven experience gained within the Construction Industry
  • Be experienced in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic fault finding 
  • Be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills and understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
