Service Manager

As a Service manager you will oversee all workshop activities, manage other engineers and be
responsible for maintaining all housekeeping and Health & Safety responsibilities. Responsibilities
include adherence to all internal Quality Management Systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe place of work.
- Responsible for the fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of a range of powered access and material handling equipment within the depot.
- You will possess excellent fault diagnosis and repair skills and the ability to communicate to other members of the engineering team.
- Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
- You will be required to complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
- Promote teamwork between colleagues across all depots, to ensure delivery of an effective workshop performance.
- Liaise with the Depot and Engineering Management when spare parts are required to ensure cost effective repairs.
- Handle breakdown calls and assign mobile engineers to attend sites.
- Ensure service records are maintained and updated in line with Company procedures.
- Ensure that the machines are kept in a serviceable and presentable condition.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines relating to Health & Safety at Work.
- Adhere to damage recharge process, ensuring that all damage is highlighted and recharged.
- Maintain and ensure maximum productivity in line with company targets.
- Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business-like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
- Attend customer sites to conduct breakdowns when required.
- Provide the Engineering manager with KPI statistics when required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have relevant qualifications and proven experience gained within the Construction Industry
- Be experienced in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic fault finding
- Be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills and understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
