Red Diesel Ban to reduce carbon emissions & meet UK environmental targets
From April 1st 2022 the government has announced that many companies will no longer be able to use and/or supply rebated fuel (red diesel) for ‘off-road’ use.
This includes those who work in agriculture, construction, highway maintenance & events.
We’re preparing for change
From 1st March 2022 we will only use white diesel or HVO
In order to prepare for the new legislation we must ensure that all our machinery fuel tanks contain zero traces of red diesel from 1st March 2022 onwards. Government enforced fines will be imposed if red diesel is traced is in our machinery.
We will be making the switch to white diesel and/or HVO as both are fully compliant with the diesel machines in our fleet.
How will this affect our customers
From 1st March 2022, we kindly ask ALL our customers to ensure they ONLY fill up machines with white diesel or HVO. Users that fill up when off-hiring will get on site testing for any traces of red diesel, full fuel drain will be charged if red diesel is found.
We apologise for the inconvenience but trust you will agree that these measures are beyond our control and in line with new legislation delivered from the UK Government.
