We are absolutely delighted to announce that Stephen Huntley has joined the Quick Reach team. With a wealth of industry experience and an appreciation of family values in business, we are sure he will make our brand new depot in the North East a huge success.
I asked Stephen a few quick questions this week to find out a little more about his new role and exciting future at Quick Reach.
How long have you been in the industry?
Officially 18 years but unofficially since I used to drive dumpers and diggers in my Dad’s yard when I was 7 !
What is your new role in Quick Reach?
Depot manager for the new Teesside depot
Can you tell us a little bit about our new depot?
The depot is ideally placed to service what is a large amount of development happening in the North East and especially the Teesside area. We will be providing customers throughout the north east with a comprehensive range of access and telehandlers and backing it up with a great and personal service.
Are you from the North East? What is your favourite thing about the region?
I am from Jesmond in Newcastle and live about half a mile from where I was born and went to school. My favourite thing about the region is the variety – I have a cool urban life, perfect beaches and amazing countryside all within 10 miles of me!
We’re really excited to have you join our team, how are you feeling?
I have been looking forward the joining the team for so long ! I have known Dave for some time through the industry and have watched with admiration how Quick Reach has grown and can’t wait to be part of the next chapter for the company.
Why do you think customers should choose Quick Reach?
I think it is a similar ethos to what we had at our family business and that is just the quality of machinery and the service you receive; the value that adds is amazing! Anyone can be the cheapest but to have that added value is why customers keep coming back.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I do a lot of cycling and distance running and am quite obsessed with finding new restaurants with tasting menus – with the wine accompaniment of course !!
Finally, if you were a machine from our fleet what would you be and why?
A Genie GS1932 – quite quiet and not too flashy but customers can depend on me to always be there and to get the job done!
